Donna’s 5 Star Review
This book was AMAZING! I couldn’t put it down. I was captivated from the first page drawing me in wondering what was around every corner. The sexual tension, the urge to run but the desire to stay. I will be eagerly awaiting the second installment of The Secret Life of Amy Bensen, Infinite Possibilities in October 2013.
Amy is running from her past and has been for years. All it takes is an envelope taped to a mirror and she has been forced to leave what she has called a home. With an imminent threat looming over her head, she is off to the airport. On a plane to her new location, she encounters a man that has stolen her breath with just a glance.
Liam Stone, dark, sexy, billionaire, architect, recluse catches Amy’s eye at the airport. On his way to Denver to finalize a deal for a building they are seated next to one another on the plane. Liam takes the opportunity to learn more about Amy but her answers are controlled, lies she must tell to survive. Will he be the one to save her from her past?
“We aren’t strangers anymore, and I find the idea of occupying your time increasingly appealing.” His eyes light, “So use me baby.”
Once they have reached their destination, Amy is determined to follow her handlers instructions and await further contact. Liam takes her to her apartment to get her settled but has a compelling need to protect her and take charge. He has questions but she is not ready to answer them yet.
“I don’t know what you are running from but I know that you’re running.”
As sparks fly, Amy and Liam escape into one another. She has fallen hard for Liam and is grateful to not be alone. She is torn between running away from Liam and keeping him close and putting him at risk too.
“We are many shades of grey and black, hoping to find a glimmer of light in each other, not more darkness.”
When Liam is forced to leave to take care of something in New York, Amy decides it’s time to stop running. She has had no contact from her handler since she arrived and she’s getting suspicious. She needs to find a way out of this once and for all.
