Donna’s 5 Star Review

I will sometimes put off reading a book that is part of a series until the second book comes out to save myself a book hangover. However, in this case all I did was that I deprive myself of the awesomeness we shall call Chris Merit. I absolutely LOVED this book, it absolutely earned 5 STARS!! I couldn’t put it down, read it in one sitting. Lisa Renee Jones has a way of pulling you in so that you are captivated by the characters and their story. I felt like I was on the edge of every page wanting no… needing to know more. This book had it all, beginning with Rebecca’s steamy journals, 2 not 1 alpha male, sex, love, secrets and a desire to know them all.

Sara McMillian has come into possession of the personal journals of Rebecca Mason and her abandoned storage unit. Sara has become consumed by the events in the journal and the mystery man contained on its pages. With the summer off from school Sara has decided that she needs to find Rebecca and make sure that she has come to no harm. Sara takes a job at the Art Gallery to see what she can find out about Rebecca’s life but line between Sara’s life and Rebecca’s starts to blur.

Mark Compton is the owner of the Gallery and a dominant personality at that. His desire to control everything and everyone around him was bit much to take. Mark in my opinion was a bit of an ass. Always testing Sara to see just how far he could push her until she would break. But then we are introduced to the devilishly handsome artist with his own control issues, Chris Merit and the swooning beings. I could not get enough of him!!

Sara and Chris meet at a Gallery Fundraiser but he doesn’t disclose his identity to her at first…testing her in his own way. The spark between them is ignited almost immediately but Chris has decided that her safety is worth more so he warns her off the Gallery and himself. Sara can see that he has a dark side but can’t seem to convince herself to stay away. When they finally do get together…OMG… holy hell…I thought my kindle was going to burst into flames.

“Now I am here. What are you going to do with me?” ~Chris

“Do you want me to put this on you now or do you want me to lick you there first?” ~Sara

His eyes darken, “Ah, my pretty little school teacher. I’m beginning to wonder who’s corrupting who?” ~Chris

Just when you think that you have figured out a piece of the puzzle, you turn the page and find out that you are going in a completely different direction. If you are looking for your next 5 star read….look no further. The story will leave you wanting more, so be sure to pick up Being Me and see where Chris and Sara’s story goes.
