Kylie Scott returns with the highly anticipated follow-up to international bestseller Lick.

Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn’t plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn’t count on finding the one right girl. Anne Rollins never thought she’d ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn’t end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?

Oh boy, oh boy. Where do I start with this one? LICK was a great start to the STAGE DIVE series, but PLAY just took it to a whole new level. This was fantastic!!!!!!

It’s one of those book where, when you go to view the quotes you highlighted after you finished reading, you end you reading more than what you originally set out to do. It’s just that good that it’s not possible to get enough.

Mal was a standout character in book #1, but in book #2 he was outstanding. He is officially my favourite of all the rock star book boyfriends that I’ve ever read about. He’s hilarious. And I’m talking full on, laughing until your eyes water, bent over double, impossible to hold it in, hilarious. I laughed long and hard throughout this book as we got a more in depth look at just how crazy this drummer boy really is.

And the lucky lady who was on the receiving end of this loveable rogue’s charm? Anne was Mal’s complete opposite but it just worked for them. She handled him so well, and yes, Mal does need to be handled. Don’t forget about all that crazy! Though Anne does have a habit of giving off ‘crazy eyes’ when she’s watching Mal. But who can blame her, eh?

It’s not all fun and games though. There were times when my heart ached for both these characters; especially Mal. I think that’s a sign of a perfect book. When you feel as the characters do. They’re happy, you’re happy. They hurt, you hurt. They love, you love. You laugh with them, cry with them, and fall completely and hopelessly in love with them.

That’s what I had with PLAY. And that’s why it would insane of me to rate this book anything other than 5 stars.
