Kate has given up on love—at least for herself. She is both blessed and cursed with the ability to sense a romantic connection between two people—a gift that her family passed down for generations. When Kate launches her own matchmaking company, Kinnection, with her two best friends in a cozy New York town, she has to put aside her own romantic disasters to make her business a success.

But when a furious man stalks into her office and accuses her business of being a scam, Kate is given the ultimate challenge to prove herself. Slade puts himself in her hands and asks Kate to find him love. Enraged at his arrogance but stubbornly eager to prove herself, Kate agrees, dedicating herself to the journey of finding him love… only to find herself falling for him along the way.

Though I’m a huge fan of angst and raw emotion in my books, sometimes, you just need to sit down, relax, and get lost in a romance that will have you smiling, laughing, and swooning your way through the pages. And for me, Searching For Someday was the perfect choice for that.

It’s been a while since I read this book, but I sit here now thinking back on it, and the scenes are playing out in my head like fond memories I’ve shared with friends. A little cheesy, I hear you say? Maybe! But it’s true. Jennifer Probst created characters that feel like family, and leave you wanting to spend even more time with them.

I loved all the girls at matchmaking company, Kinnection, and after finishing the book, I’m so glad to see that Kennedy and Genevieve will get their own stories, but for now let’s focus on Kate. This is her book after all. We see three different sides to Kate throughout this book.

1. The incredibly caring side that we witness (especially) when it comes to her beloved pooch, Robert. (What an unforgettable pet!!)

2. The feisty side that appears when it comes to the deliciously sexy Slade, (Oh boy! But more about him in a minute!) and his sometimes infuriating ways.

3. And the slightly vulnerable side, made apparent when her feelings finally become too hard to ignore.

And the man who had her in such a spin? Slade Montgomery.

That man . . . Like I said above, oh boy! Talk about yummy! He started off as a complete and utter ass, but the more time we got to spend with him, the more my exasperated sighs were replaced by dreamy sighs. I just loved him!!! That man was mighty fine, and though he first comes across as a little stuffy, he has such a great heart. And he can definitely wear a suit well! Swoooon!

I liked the small element of magic in the storyline. This is in no way a paranormal, or any other similar genre; it’s just a fun little twist in a fab romantic story, that helped make it stand out from the crowd. I mean, how many contemporary romance novels do you know where a female character has a magic touch? Because I know of one. This one!

And that ending? Though a little unconventional (at first I was thinking what the heck has she just done???) I did actually really enjoy it’s unique flair, and I found it to be a really cute idea, that had me repeatedly saying, awwwwwwwww!

Searching For Someday really was a fun, fab read, and though this was my first book by Jennifer Probst, it certainly won’t be my last.
