There’s nothing better than having a KA fix, and add on to that a biker fix?? Heaven!!
The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy—until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa’s pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.
Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he’s the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa’s acting, it’s clear she’s falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker’s secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa—or ride away forever . . .
“One day, Carson Steele, you’re going to be a magnificent man.”
It had been so long since I had read this series that I was worried I wouldn’t be able to completely immerse myself because I wouldn’t remember who was who or what was what, but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Falling back into the world of Chaos Motorcycle Club was effortless, and Kristen Ashley had me from page one.
It was heartbreaking and healing all at the same time, with the usual spark and sizzle that makes a KA book exactly what it is–an addictive and all-consuming ride.
I couldn’t get enough of Joker and Carissa; I loved how explosive and intense they were together, but I also loved them both as separate characters.
I loved all the drama that typically comes with biker books, and how the club took Carissa and her son on as their own. I loved seeing Joker with baby Travis. Prepare for your heart to melt and your ovaries explode! And I love seeing him with Carissa and his family consisting of the neighbours who were there for him when his parents weren’t.
I only had one minor issue. It was pointed out numerous times that Joker never smiled or laughed. Enter Carissa. The first hint of a smile came with Mrs Heely, and then he smiled and grinned and laughed openly, the rest of the book! But not one single person mentioned it! Now, I know it’s a bit of a silly thing to be hung up on, but it had been said that he didn’t smile for a reason, so I was expecting at least some recognition to the fact. As slight as that is, it’s all I could fault. The rest was pure KA Magic!
And there’s a HUGE crossover of KA characters! We see Knight, Lee Nightingale and the Rock Chick crew, The Dream Men…it was alpha hotness overload!! And it wouldn’t be a KA book if there wasn’t some disastrous decisions made by the women that led to some hilarious mishaps and lots trouble for the MC to clear up!
There are no big surprises here at Hot Reads HQ, that Ride Steady was yet another fantastic read from Kristen Ashley. From beginning to end, I was hooked! I eagerly anticipate her next release.
The loss was over. The blinders were off. And I had Travis. Then I got Joker. And he gave me Chaos.

Technically, Motorcycle Man isn’t part of the Chaos series, it’s the 4th and final book in the Dream Man series, but it’s about Kane “Tack” Allen, Prseident of Chaos Motorcycle Club, so it’s always best to read it first. Plus, it’s fantastic!!
Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!).
Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.
Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.
And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
