The concluding part to Monica Murphy’s Never Tear Us Apart is here. Are there any Monica fans here? Let me know if you’ve read this series and what you thought of it.
The second novel in this darkly sexy contemporary series from bestselling author Monica Murphy wraps up an emotionally powerful two-part tale of forbidden love.
The truth hurts, they say—and my pain cuts deep. While I was falling for Ethan, he was deceiving me the entire time. He held a huge secret, protected by his lies. When I discovered what he was hiding, the truth shook my world, threatening to ruin us forever. Ruin me. But I soon realized that what we share can’t be destroyed.
The connection between us is too strong. It always has been. I can’t deny him any longer. And I can’t deny my truth: I’m in love with Ethan.
I don’t want to let him go.
While we’re trying our best to make this relationship work, other forces are fighting against us. My family, who wants to keep me safe. The media obsessed with my tragic past. The public that feeds off of it. Even Ethan’s father—the man who nearly destroyed me all those years ago. He’s doing his best to finish the job.
Despite my love for Ethan, the doubts creep in, clouding my mind. Is he worth the pain? Will our love survive, or will we have no choice but to end it—end us—once and for all?
I’ve been a fan of Monica Murphy for a long time, and I continue to be through book/series she releases. Though admittedly, the first book in her Tear Us Apart series was not by favourite book to date, I found myself connecting with the second and final part to this series a lot more.
The first half of the book I absolutely consumed! I’m not sure what it was that was missing in the first book for me, but I sure did find it in the sequel. I loved everything that was happening between Will and Katie, and I was in one heck of a little book bubble as I was reading.
At about the half way point, the book started to lose me. A lot happened and I don’t think that it was all necessary, but I persevered and I’m so glad that I did because the author delivered one heck of a nail-biting ending that had on the edge of my seat and wishing I could just read that bit faster!
I loved that Monica Murphy tried her hand and something different for the Never Tear Us Apart series, and I hope we continue to see new things from this fab author.
